There have been a long perception that Macs are indeed safer than a PC with Apple even go as far create ADS saying " Macs don't get Viruses" implying that you putting your data at much greater risk if you aren't on the Macs Platform. But, how much truth is there to this Claim?
Well! Around the 2012-2013 time frame it was estimated that about one third or the world's of the world computer that infected some sort of malware and when you look at only Macs that number was less than 3 percent.​​ Who know ? the number true or not? 


Windows is more Value?


It is depend on what exactly you mean by safer. As you can see while are true there are a few threats that design to attack on Macs compared to window PCs the reason for that might not what you think. If you going back to Apple claim Macs don't get PCs Viruses it's not hard to figure it out that while it Technically true it was clearly design to mislead while Windows and Macs OS are very different operating systems in term of their underlying code with modern version of the Windows based on the Windows NT kernel and Macs OS instead based on Unix. There actually isn't about Macs OS that make it inherently more secure. Instead the differences between Windows and Macs OS mean that while malware often has to be code separately for each platform a Mac isn't necessarily more difficult to attack of less vulnerable than a Window PC.
